City Green Hotel

A complete disappointment – never again this hotel! Our stay at this supposedly 4-star hotel was, unfortunately, a total letdown. Upon entering the reception area, we were greeted by a strong sewage stench. The toilet in the room hadn't been cleaned; there were still visible traces of feces, and hair was scattered on the bathroom floor. The toilet brush was filthy, and the reservoir was full of liquid – absolutely unhygienic. The room itself was tiny, offered hardly any storage space, and the condition of the shower curtain was simply disgusting. A hairdryer was provided, but it didn't work. After five days, we had to complain that our balcony hadn't been cleaned even once. The negative impression continued outside the room. The pool was in a deplorable state: large patches of paint were peeling off the inside, and bits of it were floating in the water. Drinks were served exclusively in cheap, disposable plastic cups – neither sustainable nor up to standard. The all-inclusive offer was disappointing. All the cocktails were based on raki, and the selection was minimal. Snacks were no longer available by late afternoon. The food buffet consisted almost entirely of repetitive, unappealing dishes. Meat dishes were mostly served without sauce, swimming in fat or oil. For vegetarians, there was usually only one hot dish available (mostly pasta with tomato and garlic sauce). It was obvious they were using leftovers from previous days. Another problem was the severe lack of space: there were far too few tables, so you were sometimes forced to sit on the loungers by the pool in the evenings. The entire hotel only had one bar – the pool bar – which was also the only place where you could get a drink. The staff smoked behind the bar during their shifts, which made a bad impression. The staff in the restaurant were also mostly unfriendly, annoyed, and demotivated. As for entertainment, there was practically nothing: a single, dirty pool table (which also cost extra) was the only option. No program, no animation – nothing. Overall, this stay was a massive disappointment. This hotel may have four stars on paper, but in reality, it's perhaps only worth two. Cleanliness, hospitality, service, or comfort were completely absent. We travel a lot and are really not overly sensitive – But we've never experienced anything like this before. Conclusion: Never again!

I wouldn't call it a four-star hotel, it's a simple hotel, small rooms with nowhere to put things in the bathroom, unpleasant odors in the room and hallways, the breakfast is sufficient and good, the reception staff is pleasant. What's more, the hotel's location is very good, close to the promenade by the sea, to the main street of the town.
