City Residence Aix en Provence

Very good rooms and bedrooms. No service the evening, no clear sign to find the hotel , too small breakfast…

We spent five nights at the City Residence for business. The welcome was pleasant; the receptionist, who was there every morning, always greeted us with a smile and a "hello"—thank you to her! It's true that some people who clearly worked with her gave us strange looks, and their politeness was practically nonexistent. Parking costs €6 per night. There are few spaces outside, so there aren't many options, but honestly, for the price, we can't complain about having a secure, enclosed parking area. We didn't try the breakfast, but there were, I'd say, five or six tables in a small space... I think in the summer, if you don't book in advance, you're out of luck. The exterior isn't much to look at, but the interior is a bit more "colorful," let's say. As for the apartment, it was clean and smelled nice when we arrived. The bed wasn't luxurious, but I managed to sleep comfortably. The bathroom was a bit outdated; the shower head and faucet both sprayed water simultaneously, making it impossible to turn the faucet off, so the water pressure wasn't great (APT 201). This is something that needs addressing. The soundproofing was also lacking... well, after 9 pm, there were people laughing in the hallway for a good ten minutes. Unfortunately, people don't always respect others, so I don't hold it against the establishment. Overall, it deserves a 4/5 in my opinion. The value for money for such a long stay is unbeatable, especially considering its proximity to the city center, although it's a bit of a walk (walking is quite a trek).

The room was adequate for a business trip, but the soundproofing was a bit lacking in the first room near the entrance. The staff were welcoming :)
