If you’re staying for a very short visit (a day or two), this place is fine. We stayed for a full week, and that’s where the issues started. The room itself was clean and had plenty of space for me, my husband, and our two-year-old. However, there were several maintenance problems. All of the outlets were loose, making it difficult to keep phone chargers plugged in. The bathroom door was chipped, and the bathtub drain would not close, which made bath time with a toddler difficult. The breakfast was very poor. The only edible item was the waffles. The biscuits were rock hard, the bread was stale, the potatoes had obvious freezer burn, and the juices tasted off. Housekeeping never came on their own. By day three, we had no toilet paper or towels and had to call to request service. I understand many hotels changed housekeeping policies after COVID, but having to call every time was inconvenient. We also had ongoing issues with our key cards. Every couple of days they would deactivate and not let us into the room. This was especially frustrating in freezing weather with a toddler. The first time this happened, the front desk told me no one was available because staff were shuttling guests to the airport. I either had to wait outside or track down housekeeping to let us in. Not having someone at the desk 24/7 was a major inconvenience. The building is poorly insulated. The hallways were freezing, and the indoor pool area was very cold despite being advertised as heated. It felt like cold air was coming in from outside. Finally, on December 31st, loud booming music from a New Year’s Eve party in the banquet hall started around 8:00 PM and could be clearly heard in our room. By 8:30 PM we called the front desk because we were trying to put our son to bed. We were told the only option was to move rooms that night or wait it out, as the party was supposed to end by 12:30 AM. Moving rooms late at night with a toddler wasn’t realistic. The music continued blasting until around 1:30 AM. A heads-up ahead of time would have allowed us to plan or move earlier in the day. Overall, this hotel may work for a quick overnight stay, but for a longer stay—especially with a child—it lacked comfort, maintenance, and communication.
