The soundproofing is quite poor. The sounds of the guests next door packing their luggage, plus the sounds of the water taps and shower in the bathroom at 11 pm, are very loud. I could also hear the guests in the next room getting ready at 5 am, which kept me from sleeping all night. Also, there was nowhere to put my toiletries on the bathroom sink, which was very inconvenient.

Firstly, the front desk service was good. Before check-in, I was informed that the room card was prone to demagnetization. Before even checking in, I swiped it outside my room at least 10 times, and finally had to go downstairs to the front desk to get a new card. The next day, even just leaving the room and returning, I encountered the same problem. On the first night, I discovered the shower gel was completely empty. Was the housekeeping staff asleep? The TV reception was also very poor, the bed was too hard, and the pillows were too soft. If I wanted the room cleaned the next day, I had to tell the front desk beforehand because housekeeping staff goes off duty at noon. This wasn't mentioned at all during check-in. This is very inconvenient for travelers. Do I have to get up early just to have the room cleaned instead of sleeping in until noon? Breakfast is another story; don't expect much. Because I brought disposable face towels with me, I thought I'd check out soon. That morning, after washing my hands, I used the hotel's towel to dry them and then put on my contact lenses. My eyes started feeling uncomfortable shortly after, and that night I went straight to the ophthalmologist with acute conjunctivitis. After this experience, I will never consider this hotel again in Hualien. I just wanted a relaxing trip, but it turned into a series of nightmares.

The location is conveniently situated near the station and car rental area. The family room with breakfast is great value for money, offering both Chinese and Western breakfast options, which satisfied all my travel companions. It's also close to food stalls and a sauna, and the police station is right next door, making it safe to return home late at night. I would definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Hualien. A complimentary VIP discount coupon for a local specialty store was included.
