A beautiful, large hotel centrally located for exploring Düsseldorf. Lovely, large rooms with a large bed. The breakfast is extensive. The spa is on the top floor, and you have a stunning view of Düsseldorf from the pool. The massage is highly recommended, but you must book in advance. The service here is always excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Manager Roland Rietveld is happy to help you wherever he can. Just ask, and he'll find a solution. For my partner's birthday, he was so thoughtful to provide a bottle of wine and a fruit basket. So thoughtful! That made our stay here unforgettable.

Breakfast was good. Online check-in was somewhat unproductive. We had to go back to reception because the spa wasn't yet activated on our room key. The pool was quite cold and smelled bad, and there was a loose metal sheet at the front that could cause injury. It's clear that everything is showing its age.

This was my second time at this hotel, and because I enjoyed it so much the first time, we went back again as a couple. The room service was worse this time. We had the room cleaned and the towels changed once during our stay. When there are two of us in the room, I expect to receive the correct number of towel sets, not just one. The glasses were still dirty even after cleaning (perhaps a change would have been a good idea?), and it seemed that nothing else was done besides changing the towels. Last time, there was also a set of cotton swabs, etc. This time, I deliberately didn't bring anything with me, and then there was nothing there. The staff at reception seemed genuinely annoyed at times. We only had to go there once because our room key wasn't working. When we came back because we had been shown to the wrong floor, we were snapped at. The spa area is still lovely, but they should consider heating the pool, at least in winter; it was quite chilly upstairs even without it. It was truly unacceptable, and the hotel staff didn't monitor or stop it at all. Very disruptive, and I also don't want to be filmed and photographed by strangers while wearing swimwear. The bar staff were always very friendly, and the three-course meal was delicious, although they could have mentioned at the time of booking that certain dishes would incur an extra charge. Our room was nice, but the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Breakfast was still very tasty with a wide selection, and the staff there were very friendly and always helpful. Overall, I was a bit disappointed this time.
