Colour Hotel

One of the worst hotels I've been to. Not working elevator that needs days to be fixed. Run down rooms to put it nicely. Moldy bathroom. Unhelpful front desk. Overall unpleasant experience! Especially for the price point.

The staff are exceptionally kind and available 24/7, speak perfect English and are very professional ! It's true that the single rooms can be very small and not very luxurious, but everything works and you get used to them and find them comfortable, and you sleep well. It's a stone's throw from my train station and the trams. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay at Color thanks to the city and the staff. Being able to leave my luggage in storage also made my travel a lot easier, thank you very much!

We stayed at Colour Hotel in Frankfurt city centre after arriving very late at night and without a pre-booking. Given the urgency, we were able to secure a room at reception for a reasonable price compared to nearby hotels, which we appreciated. We were informed that this was the last available room, located on the fourth floor. The twin room itself was very small and quite cramped, with limited space to move around. The beds were acceptable and did the job for one night, but nothing more than basic. The room had the essentials, such as a wardrobe, a small table, and heating, which was working fine. However, cleanliness was a weak point. The bathroom was usable but below standard, with visible mould in the corners and hair from previous guests. The hairdryer was not working and had cobwebs around it, and there was no dustbin in the room, which was inconvenient. Overall, the room felt worn and in need of better attention to cleaning and maintenance. The location is both a positive and a negative. It is very convenient, close to the train station and within easy reach of the city centre, with plenty of food options and shops nearby. However, the surrounding area is quite run-down, noisy, and can feel uncomfortable at night, especially for visitors unfamiliar with Frankfurt. On a positive note, the reception staff were welcoming, helpful, and understanding, which made the experience smoother, especially given the circumstances of our arrival. Overall, Colour Hotel is a budget-friendly, last-minute option that gets the job done if you urgently need a place to stay in the city centre. It offers good value for the price and location, but the small room size and cleanliness issues mean expectations should be kept low.
