Comfort Inn Toyokawa Inter

The detailed explanations at check-in were short and concise, which was nice. The welcome drink is available until midnight, which is helpful, and it's also nice to have a place to relax when you want to leave the room. The amenities in front of the elevator were limited. It felt mostly aimed at men. The key was a card, which was surprisingly convenient. You turn the lights on and off by inserting and removing them. Be careful, as they turn off at different times. The bed was large, but personally I found the bed and pillows too hard and couldn't sleep. A bed that you can't sleep on is honestly uncomfortable. The bathroom was spacious, but the shower head was too heavy. It had an unnecessary, shiny, and heavy feel. For some reason, the shower curtain was slightly short, so it would fly over to the toilet, which was annoying. The disposable slippers were worn out, so I had to manually widen them every time I put them on. I wish they'd keep regular slippers available as well. The TV was the only thing that had been downsized, which made the imbalance obvious. The long table was the perfect size for writing or eating. Personally, I think it was a big plus. The winner was the extension cord that casually hung under the desk! There are no USB/outlets at the bed, so you can use an extension cord from the desk outlet. (I've never seen an extension cord provided by itself in other hotels.) It's nice to see such thoughtfulness, even if it's not there. Other amenities are usually available, so it's not a problem.

I stayed here as a stopover on my way home during a trip. This was my first time staying at a Comfort Inn. What I look for in a business hotel is reasonable prices, a clean room, and a hearty breakfast. Based on my previous experience, I didn't expect the breakfast at hotels that advertise themselves as "healthy breakfasts." The website seemed very stylish and offered a wide variety of breakfast options, but based on my previous experience, I expected the actual breakfast to be about the same, so even though there was a discrepancy, I just accepted it. However, the quail eggs and konjac miso dengaku dish was nice. While I was eating, the hotel staff stood staring at me, facing me, which I found uncomfortable. I wish they wouldn't stare. There were no outlets near the pillow, but they seemed to provide an extension power strip, which I thought was a thoughtful touch.

I stayed for one night from Monday, February 2, 2026. The bed layout was unusual, like bunk beds, but it was a comfortable stay. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all. That's not good. I'm glad I was able to stay at such a good price. I'd like to visit (and stay) again if I have the opportunity.
