Comfort Suites Alexandria North

Stay would have been acceptable, bur we were given a mobility suite ( with we needed) on the 2nd floor. Which was also acceptable. The fact that the elevator was down this morning, unacceptable and they only have 1. Was told maintenance does not come in til 9 also unacceptable. The should be a maintenance person on call.

After driving all day we chose to stop here for the night. We could not get the hotel front desk to answer the phone to even give us information about connecting rooms, the automated system just gave different information each time but never answered our. We took a chance and stopped there. The lady at the front was so nice and we even laughed about how real "Jolene" sounded. Even with the elevator being broken we figured we were going straight to the rooms to sleep so it wasn't a big deal. We pulled around and realized the secure door was also broken and anyone could come in the building at any time. We couldn't do connecting rooms so we did two. After getting the older teens set up in there room we realized their door did not latch no matter how hard we tried. The door opened with the slightest touch and the dead bold also did not work. We packed them back up and went back down the stairs to get a different room. Back up stairs and set them up again. Proceed to my room where the TV does not work. It doesn't have the box to get service. At that point I didn't have the energy to go down again so I attempted to use the phone, which also does not work. I go to the teens room and their phone doesn't work either. I suck it up and entertain myself until I fall asleep playing on my phone. The next morning we get everything ready to leave. Go down for breakfast, options are hot tea, hot coffee or apple juice. Other other juices are out but no signs to prevent people from trying them and water shooting everywhere. There are people at the tables sitting but no one in the food area, I go to make a waffle and after putting the mix in the machine I am scolded by the woman who works there because she had two people waiting for waffles ahead of me and she is the one who makes them. Again no sign but whatever. We eat, get our stuff out the room and load the vehicle. We go to check out and the person doesn't even look up just says put the key in the bowl. I proceed to tell the person all of the issues we had only for her to say. The desk person didn't put any of that in. I'll let someone know and add it to your reservation. She almost acted like I was an inconvenience. The lady who checked us in was the only decent part of the stay, she was very friendly. We drive through a few times a year and this is on our will not stay again list. I'm not sure I will ever consider a comfort again.

We didn’t even have a shower curtain. And the carpet racks going in the bathroom are dangerous!
