This is a generous 1. I have traveled more than the average person and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. Staff is cold.... the kind of cold that screams they hate their job. The facility appears old and very outdated. Which is ok but it is rundown and dirty. Our room appeared clean until you went into the bathroom. Mirror had a film over it that you could clearly see the wipe marks from a washrag. Towels were just stuffed onto the shelves not neatly stacked. The toilet seat had the same smear marks from the attempt to wipe the seat clean. There was a dirty wash rag hanging on the shower rod. It had clearly been missed from the cleaning crew along with the dried clump of toothpaste on the tub nozzle. And if you have never used their type of shower before you are lost. The nozzle is not something I had seen before so assumed the shower was broke. When I asked the front desk clerk about it she laughed and said "yeah we get this a lot. We have even put up stickers explaining how to use it but they go missing all the time". So much so she reached under her counter and pulled out a faucet example and proceeded to show me how to use it. Her thinking this was funny and just a common thing is very unprofessional and at 7a.m. makes it even more irritating. On to the free breakfast. We all know its not free. It is added into the price just like everywhere else. The gravy was more like colored water. The eggs were slimy like an oyester and the sausage was questionable at best. The biscuit was the only cooked item that could pass as eatable. Our 2nd night we came in with a musty smell looming just to find dehumidifiers lined up and down our floor. This added to the head ache since the A/C didn't actually get to cold so the room stayed so humid it was hard to sleep. Given how friendly the staff had been I didn't see it being worth asking to talk to someone higher up the chain.

My room was clean and comfortable. There was a little water damage on the exterior wall but the room was clean and neat, the beds were comfortable, the heating and AC worked well, and there was plenty of room. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice, with plentiful hot water. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfasts were real breakfasts, with fresh, hot food. Overall, it's a comfortable and pleasant place to stay.
