Friendly staff and a convenient walk to the town centre. Unfortunately, the rooms are dated with mould on the bathroom ceiling, and the outdoor patio was poorly maintained with dirty paving and water damage, plant pot was rotten with no plant. We stayed 5 nights over New Year and wanted to have dinner & drinks before heading down to town to watch the fireworks but were disappointed to find the bar and restaurant closed on New Year’s Eve & New Years day/evening, no one had told us this untill we went to the bar to order our food, despite the hotel being fully booked. Breakfast was very dissapointing & over priced, At around $460 per night, it was very poor value for money.

Check-in was smooth at 2pm, but the 10am checkout is unacceptable, especially when most hotels offer 12pm. The room was average at best. The balcony was dirty, and a large flower pot was overgrown with wild plants and red spiders, making it unusable. Breakfast was below standard and not worth the money. Scrambled eggs had no seasoning, pancakes were dry and flavourless, and the bacon was cheap shoulder rashers. The only decent item was the yoghurt. The only positive was the staff. Ashlee and Roshan were excellent — genuinely helpful and professional, and the only reason this hotel gets any credit. I’d rate this property 2 stars solely because of the staff. The hotel is in serious need of renovation. Despite booking 8 months in advance, I was given a poor room with a bad view, and my request for a change or upgrade was bluntly denied. Noise from the room above (constant furniture movement) ruined sleep. Good staff cannot make up for poor maintenance, bad food, noise issues, and lack of flexibility. Very disappointing overall.

Only good thing about this hotel is views from balcony. There is a mouldy smell in the rooms and hotel lobby.
