CORALLIA BEACH HOTEL APARTMENTS

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a completely different overall impression. They had taken pictures of it during renovations some time ago. When we got there, they said they couldn't find our reservation because they were not in contract with the Zenhotels.com booking site. Finally, after a long negotiation, we finally got a room at the price we had originally booked. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is extremely old-fashioned, outdated, and run-down. Considering the look, condition, and amenities of the rooms, we were time-traveling to a retro experience from the 80s and 90s. However, we have no complaints about the food, breakfast and dinner, everything was fine in this area. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I don't recommend it to the faint of heart. Dirty. BEDBUGS (my fellow guests had bites all over their bodies, including their faces). The air conditioning howls like a tractor, but it doesn't cool. No awnings = sweltering heat in the room. Trying to lower the temperature by opening the window at night, at least, means mosquito nets will eat you. No WiFi in the rooms (21W? Lol). The furniture is old, scratched, worn, and stained. The bathroom... oh my. No detergent - we were given two mini bars of soap. No dishwashing liquid in the kitchen. One of the balcony doors wouldn't close properly, and the other one was practically spine-breaking to open/close. Pros: Rooms: large and with a large balcony with a beautiful view - unfortunately, a beautiful view = sun in the windows (as we already know, no awnings, no air conditioning) = sauna. So, even a plus turned into a minus in this case. The food was okay. The service - I can't say a bad word. I especially want to say hello to the gentleman with the beard at the front desk 🙂 (the brightest point of this hotel – if you're reading this, the gentleman's boss – he deserves a huge raise). Don't be fooled by the entrance and reception – there's air conditioning and WiFi there. The public areas don't look too bad, though they scream RENOVATE ME!!! In reality, the only advantage of this hotel is its location. And it's not for everyone – it's rather remote. There aren't many shops or restaurants. But there's good access to the city center. You can also walk to more "civilization" in about 20-25 minutes if you need it. And the number one advantage – the beach. The beach is five-star. I could go on and on, but I think the situation has already been painted sufficiently. I'm not adding photos. Other reviews with photos show exactly what it looks like. I'll just add a short video of the view from the balcony. And it is truly beautiful, so it is even more of a shame that such potential is being wasted.

The only positive is the location, which has nothing to do with the investment in the building. Any renovations were probably done in the 1970s or 1980s. The furniture is dingy, and the bathtub is scary. Everything is worn out, the plywood of the so-called kitchen units is falling apart, and the sofas are sagging under your weight. There's no functional air conditioning. Even though it's out of season, the temperature and stuffiness in the room are unbearable. It would be fine with an open window, but what if there's no mosquito net and you can't sleep because of the mosquitoes? Another issue is the bugs that come out at night and feed on sleeping people. Bedbugs and other nasty things. There's no even a basic awning on the balcony, which, while it certainly had a beautiful view, is unbearable. How many degrees does it get there in high season? You could probably scramble eggs right away. I rated the service highly. The gentlemen at the reception greeted me warmly on the first day and were always customer-friendly, but the fact that you had to pay a fee to weigh your suitcase upon departure was outrageous. Zofia, the travel agent, was unpleasant, as if she were being punished. She didn't encourage us, in fact, she discouraged us. However, Ania, who ran the Akamas Gorge tour, was wonderful. Lots of interesting facts, passion, and commitment were evident. Excellent communication. In short, a place with enormous potential due to its location. I returned home bitten by bugs after five sleepless nights because it was either swelteringly hot and stuffy, or the mosquitoes were swarming. I don't recommend it. As for the food, the breakfasts were practically identical every day, raising questions about their freshness. However, the dinners were varied, with plenty to choose from.
