This was a very unpleasant stay and below acceptable standards. From the moment we arrived, there was a strong damp, musty smell both in the room and in the breakfast area, which made the environment uncomfortable throughout our stay. Hygiene is a concern. Insects and cockroaches were roaming around, not only in the breakfast area, but also inside the hotel rooms, which is unacceptable. The carpets are extremely dirty and clearly not vacuumed or chemically cleaned, contributing significantly to the unpleasant smell. Removing the carpets altogether would likely improve the atmosphere, as the odor seems to come from both the carpets and the plumbing. Moreover, there is no option to open the windows to let some fresh air in. Room cleaning was poor and clearly handled by an untrained cleaner, seemingly just one person responsible for everything. Even after requesting a full room cleaning, the bedsheets were not changed. Towels and linens provided had visible stains, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. Several room features were also defective: drawers could not be opened, and when checked, they were found to be mouldy, which is a clear health risk. The room felt neglected and poorly maintained. The neighbours were always very loud, the door was always bashed. The breakfast experience was also disappointing. Aside from hygiene issues, there was frequent rowdy and loud behavior from some guests (as another person already pointed out). Children were repeatedly touching and handling the food with their hands, which is unhygienic. Better supervision is needed, and restricting access to the food area for very young children should be considered.
