Beware – this is a completely unethical room scam! Upon arrival, we were moved to a different room without any explanation. Only after finding a note by chance did we learn that our booked room supposedly had "technical problems." The next morning, we were told we had booked a "best-price room"—a basement room under the pool, without a balcony and in no way comparable to the category we had actually booked. While the receptionist, Maria, was always friendly, it was clear that this was a deliberate tactic: guests are moved to a better room and then pressured to pay extra for the room we had booked or the better category. Card payment was refused, and we only received a receipt after asking several times. Other guests were also affected—to us, this seems like a systematic approach. A clear warning: This hotel uses questionable practices, and we cannot recommend it to anyone.

Beware – these are absolutely unacceptable and fraudulent practices! We booked through a major German tour operator and were still massively disappointed. Upon our late-night arrival, we were shown to a junior suite without any explanation – and without any indication that this room was only meant to be a "temporary solution." Only in the documents we found in the room ourselves was there a handwritten note stating that our booked room supposedly had "technical problems." The next morning, we were told that we had supposedly booked a "best-price room" – a room that doesn't even exist on the website, is located under the pool, has only a basement window, no balcony, and a ceiling height of approximately 1.85 meters. A category that no one would voluntarily book. We were offered the option of staying in the junior suite for €450 or moving to the standard room we had originally booked for €240. Card payments were refused – only cash was accepted. We only received the receipt after repeatedly requesting it on the last day of our vacation. We felt extremely cheated and found the scam to be completely unethical and systematic. Other guests also seemed to have been affected by the same method. Fortunately, we were able to report the incident to our travel agent – nevertheless, this approach severely spoiled the start of our vacation. It's quite clear to us: This hotel uses unfair methods to pressure guests into booking more expensive rooms. We strongly advise against booking this hotel.

The cosmopolitan is a lovely hotel in an ideal location, close to the beach and kos town its self. Clean and tidy hotel with lovely staff especially in the bar and restaurant, our only gripe is the evening meal was ok not brilliant, but plenty of options in the area for eating. We would come back but please improve the food.
