When I stayed here in 1999 as it was the Amerihost Inn, it was an exceptionally nice hotel. But apparently, the current owners prefer to be slumlords. There are numerous issues, as listed: -Beds aren't queen beds. They are FULL beds. -Pillows are all flat and need replaced. -Complimentary hair dryer GFCI plug was broke and has been for a long time based on appearance. This is a clear shock and fire hazard. -Mirror on door in room must be 3M taped on, but the clips are all busted loose which is concerning, and the door itself looks like it came out of a modular built in 1995. -Carpets in several locations are beyond service life and need replaced. -There is a hole in the ceiling in one location in the hallway. -There is a sag/trip hazard in the floor in front of room 206. -Almost every window in the building is beyond service life and needs replaced. -There was NO CONTINTENTAL BREAKFAST. "The bank card had expired". -Pool pump/heater was broke, so we were told no swimming when we arrived... but the manager allowed a previously scheduled party to go swimming at pool anyways with a water temp of 60 degrees! -Even though there was clear "No Smoking" and "No Marijuana" signs, areas around the facility would occasionally harbor both smells. The only perk I found is that there is a mini fridge and microwave, neither were listed in the ad when I booked. I get that Kenton isn't exactly brimming with hotel options or tourist attractions, but if I wanted to stay in a slum, I'd just rent an apartment at Scioto Village. I have traveled for my job as far away as Portland, Oregon, and the worst, cheapest hotel I encounter in those travels looked like the Ritz Carlton compared to this place. I asked for a partial refund or discount for all of these issues. Being Sunday, the manager won't be in, which I understand. So we will see what Monday brings. But in general, stay away from here. Stay in Lima, Bellefontaine, or at the Inn at ONU. The extra drive is worth a better experience.

Booked room for one night for a wedding and worse experience ever. First room smelled awful and the air conditioner was broken so they moved me to another room which also smelled awful. There were no towels or wash clothes only had a hand towel. When going to check out I was once again charged for the room. Unable to speak to manager because they weren’t there on a Sunday and have to wait until tomorrow to try to get refunded. Do not recommend this hotel at all.
