There was hair from previous guests throughout the room, including on the bed. The bathroom had visible black mold, the air conditioning unit emitted an unpleasant odor, the patio door did not lock properly, beds were worn-out and the walls and floors were dirty. Additionally, the refrigerator malfunctioned and froze everything placed inside it. I requested that the room be properly cleaned, as it was clearly not serviced properly after the prior guests or up-kept. I was assured each day that this would be addressed; however, no cleaning occurred during my entire 3-night, 4-day stay. Given the significant cost using either points or money per night, I requested an explanation and appropriate compensation. The front desk manager, Yaritza, provided the following response as both an explanation and resolution only after escalation: "As part of Marriott brand standards, housekeeping service is scheduled every other day. We regrettably did not service your room one time during your stay, and understand how this may have been very frustrating and inconvenient for you. Our final resolution is 10,000 points to your Marriott Bonvoy account." 10,000 points equals $20 max. This response does not adequately address the issues encountered or the lack of basic cleanliness and maintenance during my stay. It shows they to not value their patrons or Bonvoy members. In addition, the hotel is dated, long lines at check-in, and had only one elevator working on the property.

This is a fantastic location, and the bed was the best we've ever experienced in any hotel. The front desk manager, Yaritza M, could not have been more pleasant. I was struggling with a tech issue and she helped me resolve it. We were originally booked for two nights, but checked out just prior to noon after the first night to explore things further south (on to another Marriott). I didn't ask for a refund of the second night, but she took care of it. Another example of the excellent customer service I've become accustomed to while staying at a Marriott property.

I stayed for one night and was charged more than the amount I originally booked. The staff informed me that the extra charge was from the hotel restaurant; however, I did not make any purchases there. I was told there was no manager on site and that the issue would be resolved on Monday. Unfortunately, after multiple attempts, I have been unable to reach a manager. I recommend reviewing your bill carefully before checking out.
