⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A huge thank you to Abdellah at the Courtyard by Marriott Brussels restaurant. I stayed there alone for the first time and, thanks to his kindness, professionalism, and genuine attentiveness, I felt truly welcome. His impeccable service made my experience even more enjoyable.

WARNING: YOU WILL GET SCAMMED AT THIS HOTEL I booked this hotel online via bookings.com for two nights and was told I would have to make a 40€ deposit for every night I stay at the hotel. I got there and paid the 80€ in total. I decided to pay for breakfast for two for 1 day which came to about 30+ euros. Then I bought water and a few snacks at the mini store downstairs, all of which couldn’t have amounted to another 30€. The lady at the reception told me I would be charged 80€ but they will do the deductions for the snacks and breakfast at checkout and refund me the balance which will reflect days after I check out. To my greatest surprise , the 80€ was increased to 107.50€ on my account without informing me or explaining why the deducted amount was increased from 80€ to 107.50€. All I know is my Revolut account was debited a higher amount after check out. After three weeks of checking out from the hotel, I did not get any refund. When I reached out to support, I was told my refund was already processed and to check with my bank why the payment hadn’t reflected. I realized at that moment that they did not intend to refund my balance and raised a dispute with my bank and was refunded but after about 2 months, my bank came back to say they responded to the dispute and I’m sure basically lied to have the money debited from my account again. There has been no way to resolve this as I do not live in Belgium and can’t physically go there, but I’m writing this to warn anyone considering booking this hotel. They are shady, not transparent and will scam you if your money. I hope this warms someone, do not fall for this scam. To Courtyard by Marriot, if I’m ever in Belgium again, I’m coming to your hotel to get my money you thieves!
