I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent stay at the Guatemala City Marriott Hotel, as the property was unable to adequately resolve the issues during our visit. Upon checking into our room, we immediately encountered several serious concerns. There were visible stains on the towels and washcloths, as well as marks and debris on the couches. The television was not working, and there was no hot water in the room. These issues significantly impacted the comfort and quality of our stay. We went downstairs to report the lack of hot water and the other concerns and were told someone would be sent to address them. Unfortunately, no one ever came to resolve the issues. Additionally, when we went back downstairs to request clean washcloths, we were informed that none were available. After waiting and still receiving no assistance, I returned to the front desk around 8:00 PM. By that time, due to the lack of response and inability to have the issues corrected in a timely manner, I had already booked a different hotel so that my family would not have to remain in those conditions. Although we were offered a room change at that point, it was too late, as alternative arrangements had already been made due to the unresolved problems. I have photographs documenting the condition of the room and would be happy to provide them upon request. This experience was extremely disappointing and not reflective of the standards I expect from a Marriott property. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and that an appropriate resolution be provided.

This hotel has no heating in the rooms. IF they find a small portable heating unit, they will bring it to your room. The problem? Nowhere in the description says A/C only. The temperture tonight will be around 54F. And it feels a lot colder than that.

My husband and I came from lake Atitlan the night before our early afternoon flight. Takes a lot of stress off to be close to the airport the night before. This hotel delivers exactly what’s promised and advertised on google. Hotel looks just like the pictures. It’s in a nice area where you can walk 5-10 minutes and have multiple choices for food which is very ideal
