Courtyard Melaka

Hi, I would like to share my dissatisfaction with the experience during check-in. The stated check-in time was 3:00pm, but we only received our room after 4:00pm+, despite not requesting any special arrangements. What was especially frustrating was seeing guests who came after us getting their rooms first, while my family was left waiting with no clear updates. I was travelling with young children, and we had to wait more than an hour in the lobby with no assurance on timing and no complimentary drinks offered during the wait. When I asked what the hotel could provide as compensation for the extremely delayed check-in, nothing was offered proactively. Only after we finally went up to our room did someone send complimentary drinks coupons which were expiring the next day. This did not feel like genuine service recovery. On top of that, our room was not cleaned properly. There were candies under the bed, which is unacceptable and quite unhygienic, especially when staying with kids. Given the poor check-in process, lack of proper compensation, and cleanliness issues, I hope the hotel can take this seriously and let me know what they can do to make up for this experience. I will not recommend this hotel at Malacca. Thank you.

Very relaxing & pleasant stay. Tip top cleanliness with a comfort bed. Delicious & many choice of food for breakfast. I wld give rating 5* for the staff hospitality & kindness, very helpful with full of smiles. I cld say all of them have presented excellent service. Tqvm guys! Highly recommend hotel. Definitely will come back!

23/11/2025; 10:50am 5 stars hotel , 1 star service.(maybe lower?) Unpleasant & concerning Experience. During breakfast, I found hair inside the kuih koci, which caused me to choke. When I informed the staff(tall f&b guy), the response was extremely disappointing. The item was brought to the chefs, and two chefs looked back at us before proceeding to sit at the corner to have their breakfast, without offering any apology or acknowledgment. The staff then brought us few more kuih koci, which was inappropriate, as we obviously would not continue eating the same item after such an incident. When we declined, the staff simply walked away without any concern or apology. (Kindly review cctv footage if you have to) (Videos added for your reference) This experience alone reflects a serious lapse in food safety, hygiene, and service standards. In addition to that, before checking out, I politely requested a little extra time to pack my luggage. The front desk staff, Syana, did not greet us, did not respond verbally, and showed no courtesy. She simply validated our key cards and handed them back without a smile and without confirming how much time was granted. As a guest, and especially as a Marriott Titanium Elite member, I felt completely unappreciated and dismissed. Overall, this stay made me feel uncherished and undervalued, as if I was “paying to get slammed at.” If there were another Marriott brand in Melaka, I would certainly choose that over Courtyard Melaka based on this experience alone. (Not adding previous bad experiences) I hope the management will take this matter seriously, review the service lapses, and implement corrective actions. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding how this situation will be addressed. Thank you.
