I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Norwich for one night (Room 411) and was shocked by what we found the next morning. While getting ready to check out, we noticed extensive mold covering a large portion of the bathroom ceiling. I took a video because it was so severe. This is by far the worst mold I have ever seen in a hotel bathroom. Beyond being disgusting, it raises serious health concerns, especially for anyone with allergies, asthma, or sensitivities. I stay at Marriott properties often and this experience was far below the standard I expect. Management gave me points after I reported it, but given the severity of the mold and the health concerns, it did not feel like an adequate resolution. Guests should not be encountering something like this in the first place. I would not stay here again.

Our original room, 301, was terrible! Not only was there a horrible smell, like ground beef, but the heat did not work. I tried to manipulate the thermostat as well as the unit and nothing worked. The next morning I told the front desk clerk and when we got home later that day, it was fixed. However, we now had BUGS!! They looked like lady bugs, but they were brown with black spots. First there was two, then another on the hvac unit, then another on the desk. We complained and got another room; 310, which was fine. Both room shower doors did not close all the way. Lastly, when I got home and began putting my items away, there was that same beetle-looking BUG inside my make-up bag. Just gross. We will not be staying here again.
