I am very disappointed by the experience I had on 7th January 2025 for my day visit. I'm from south africa and I visited the spa with my friends. We all booked for massage treatment but since we were many, I had to wait for my friends to finish their massage before I can start mine. The receptionist told me that they had sauna and steam room and I can pass time there. I was excited and went to the steam room. My massage was supposed to start at 11:30, I got to the steam room at 10:30 aiming to do 15 minutes. Around 10:45, I got out and realized that the main door isn't opening. I tried to open and knock from the inside as hard as I could but I guess no one noticed. I stayed in there locked till 12:00. I was so disappointed that even though my massage was for 11:30, no one came to look for me!! I contacted my friends, but all of them were busy with their massages and phones were probably on silent. I had to text my holiday host to speak to main reception, so they can call the spa and get someone to open for me. Now what's dangerous with this situation is that, I had to figure out how to switch off the steam from the inside which I did, but If I couldn't, I'd be stuck there for almost 1 hour 30 minutes in steam, again if I didn't go there with my phone which most people wouldn't, what would have happened? Mind you, when my host got in contact with the main reception, they said, the door cannot open from the inside!! Even when the massage therapist came to open for me around 12 she was struggling to open from the outside. Now, with the knowledge that the door can't open from the inside. Why would they let people use that steam room and sauna? When I got out of there all I got was a nonchalant sorry, no discussion, nothing!! The only person who seemed sincere was my massage therapist.. I didn't even enjoy my massage afterwards and my whole experience for the day was ruined because of that Terrible experience!! Being locked in a steam room for almost 1 hour 30 minutes is DANGEROUS and it is UNACCEPTABLE to even allow people to use it!!!
