Crown Beach Hotel Maldives

A lovely week by the sea – unfortunately with disappointing departure service We spent a week at this hotel and even extended our stay several times – mainly because of the excellent value for money. The room was large, spacious, and clean, so we felt very comfortable there. The location right on the sea is particularly beautiful. Although the beach in front of the hotel has been partially washed away, you can still easily enter the water, and the surroundings are very idyllic. The snorkeling equipment we rented wasn't top quality, but it served its purpose – we were still able to see some fish. The reef directly in front of the hotel is unfortunately no longer alive, but there are other good snorkeling spots on the island. Since the island is small, these spots are easily accessible. Unfortunately, there were a few issues with the service that somewhat marred our stay. At breakfast, one employee often seemed very distracted and never greeted us, which created a somewhat unpleasant atmosphere. Furthermore, the room service unfortunately threw away too much – including a lime we had already used and a cloth bag that went missing. There was also confusion at dinner. We were initially told that dinner would be served from 6:00 PM, later it was changed to 6:30 PM. When we tried to order, it turned out that several dishes – including fish – weren't available at all. Finally, we were told that we had to order our meals at lunchtime or the day before, so unfortunately, we couldn't eat there that evening. The biggest issue, however, concerns our departure. The evening before, we had arranged with the hotel manager for him to drive us to the ferry at 6:10 AM and provide us with a breakfast package. Unfortunately, no one showed up that morning. We had to walk to the ferry without breakfast and received no message or apology via the WhatsApp group, which was usually used for communication. Since my partner has a shoulder injury and had to carry the luggage, this situation was particularly unpleasant. Despite these points, we had a good time overall, mainly due to the location and the good value for money. However, with a little more organization and attention to detail in the service, this hotel could offer a significantly better experience.

This place is so dirty , full of dust , spider webs and bad smell . Also in a bathroom there is a terrible smell. Furniture in the room was collapsing. We asked for extra baby bed and kids bed ( this is what we booked ) there was no space for any of this in the original room . After complaining we got bigger room which was also dirty and filthy , we stayed 2 night until we saw cockroaches and then we left. Beach in front of the hotel ( this are just rooms on the beach) is very dirty which is sad since it has a huge potential. Breakfast was also very basic . It seems like hotel is using better pictures online . Another point is that this hotel also goes by name crown beach hotel.

The staff's hospitality was outstanding! Absolutely unbeatable! Very polite and friendly. The breakfast was very good except they didn't have coffee 💁‍♀️. The rooms... nice views, nothing more. The refrigerator didn't work. The outlets for charging phones and electronic devices... didn't work. There was a constant water leak in the bathroom sink. The outdoor furniture was unusable, the hammocks were broken... Unfinished construction debris was everywhere. A total lack of maintenance... It was a shame we had to go to the only somewhat decent beach on the island... packed with people, of course... Total disappointment with Diifhussi Island! The island is dirty everywhere you go... So it's not just the hotel's problem. The island in general isn't worth it... VERY DIRTY, the water is murky, there are plastic dumps everywhere... I don't understand why the locals don't take care of where they live. They spend all day sitting on their phones... And the island is falling apart... I don't recommend this island at all.
