Crown Towers Sydney

We had a very disappointing stay at Crown Towers. Service and organisation was sorely lacking for a 5-star hotel at this price point. The check-in process was unnecessarily difficult with long wait queues for both valet and reception. We stayed mid-week expecting it to be quieter, but we were wrong. The pool is way too small for a hotel of this size leaving it absolutely jammed with people to the point that trying to relax and have a swim was difficult. We weren’t allowed to order and collect our own drinks from the bar so waited more than 30 minutes for drinks that never arrived, and when we chased them up we were told they were all out of both the wine we ordered and glasses. We were then charged for the drinks anyway. The bright spot was the room, which was stunning and well fit-out with great views and an amazing bathtub. The room service was also great - we ordered a steak which was delicious. We won’t stay there again as there are other hotels in Sydney with equally stunning views and amazing service.

This is a great place to stay while in Sydney. Staff is proactive and helpful. Views are great and has easy access to carparks, train and metro.

We stayed at Crown Towers Sydney to celebrate my husband’s birthday and booked five rooms in total as we were a large group. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Despite requesting all rooms be on the same level two months in advance at the time of booking, check-in took over two hours, and none of the rooms were allocated on the same floor. Once we finally checked in, one of the rooms had an overpowering smell of vomit, so strong that we had to walk straight back out. After raising the issue, we were eventually moved to another room, but by then there was only one hour left for the children to use the pool, as no children are allowed after 6pm. This was very frustrating and disappointing, especially after such a long and stressful check-in process. The buffet breakfast was well below average. There was no live egg station, which is standard at most hotels of this calibre. Even more surprising, guests are only entitled to one free coffee, and any additional coffee is charged extra — despite paying $65 per person. This hardly qualifies as a true buffet experience. Service throughout the stay was extremely slow. We had to call twice and wait an unreasonable amount of time before our luggage was finally delivered to our rooms. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations for a luxury hotel. It was meant to be a special celebration but turned into a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend Crown Towers Sydney and will not be returning
