Hotel was ok, friendly staff. It had own pool area. Bed was too soft and wiggly for my taste. We could hear sounds from outside quite well, for example garbage truck at 5 a.m, also other street noises. The view was good and beach was very near. Tram goes right outside of the hotel. Hotel breakfast was good.

We are now on the 6th day of our 7 day stay at the Crown Plaza. THE GOOD: The hotel staff are excellent. The hotel is in a very good position, right next to the tram station. The breakfast is great. It has a very large swimming pool, which is great for kids. The Lobby area is excellent with plenty of chairs to sit and relax on. The hotel has a good atmosphere all around. THE BAD: The hotel is in need of renovation. See photos of our room furniture and the balcony. Carpets need to be replaced. More attention is needed in cleaning. The glass next to our breakfast table has bird droppings on it, and they’ve been there for several days. See photo. The pool is only 1.1 metres in depth, which is great for kids, but not the best for adults to swim in. The pool chairs need to have cushions on them. I’ve got a sore back from laying on them, it’s like sitting on a rock. The spa, has jets all around your back, and NONE of them are working. It also has jets all around where your legs are, and only 3 are working. NOT GOOD. The way the spa is right now , the only thing it does is TICKLE your toes, nothing else. There’s palm tree branches hanging, ready to fall on someone’s head, and injure or take an eye out of someone, but management doesn’t bother to get them trimmed. NOT GOOD. I needed to write this review, as people need to know, the GOOD and the BAD of any hotel that we stay in.
