It's easily accessible from the Porta underground shopping arcade at Kyoto Station. Breakfast was okay, with delicious Vietnamese pho. There are 6 self-service laundry facilities (for a fee) and a microwave. The room was quiet and comfortable, with a bathtub for soaking. However, the hallway lighting was a bit dim.

I would like to nitpick but it was really a comfortable experience. The staff here in Kyoto are pleasant and helpful. Location is very accessible regardless if you are coming from the subway or from road-groundfloor. There is a nearby (5 min walk) bus stop navigating you through Kyoto. The ammenities are great, especially the bath salt. The two types of coffee freebie remain good quality. The bath tub has good ergonomic design. Room does not feel small even though it is not spacious enough if you are a family of 3. Breakfast is your outstanding Daiwa Roynet level with local Kyoto specialties. Great stay
