Das Bergmayr - Chiemgauer Alpenhotel

We chose this hotel because it advertised a pool, children's playroom, and a play area in the dining room, and we were hoping for a relaxing vacation with our children (5 years and 9 months old). Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. The playroom was "hidden" deep in a basement and only accessible via cold, dark corridors through the underground parking garage. Furthermore, it was very poorly furnished, and most of the toys were broken or very dirty. We couldn't find a play area in the restaurant. This is not what we consider child-friendly. Our family room was very spacious. Unfortunately, the cleanliness left much to be desired. There were several dusty corners. The staff very kindly agreed to our request for additional cleaning, but these areas were not cleaned. In addition, the bathroom increasingly smelled of sewage. Our room was in a separate building with an external corridor. This meant that we always had to leave the building to go to the pool, playroom, or restaurant. In winter, this presents an additional challenge and hassle with the children. Generally speaking, there's hardly any comfortable place to relax in the hotel. While there is seating in the lobby, it's quite cold and not very child-friendly. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent. It was very varied, with something for everyone. The town of Inzell was beautiful and a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. The new swimming pool and the many benefits of the Chiemgau Card are also worth mentioning. However, if we were to visit Inzell again, we would definitely choose a different hotel. Unfortunately, we didn't get the relaxation we were looking for.

We stayed at the hotel for five days over New Year's and felt very well taken care of from the very first minute. Starting with a super friendly welcome, a very nice, clean room with a direct view of the mountains, and a very good selection of breakfast and dinner options. The spa area was also adequate and clean (small but perfectly formed). The service staff throughout the entire hotel were consistently very, very friendly. The large swimming pool was a five-minute walk away. Beautiful hiking trails start right at the hotel. Shopping was about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. I can't stop raving about it. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, I stayed there last year and will be going again soon. Excellent location and service, large breakfast buffet, plus a card with lots of free activities. Clean pool area and top-notch rooms, highly recommended.
