Days Inn Conroe

Room wasn't clean and had drug content in the room thankfully when we mentioned this to them they offered us another room. But,because they lied from the beginning and we had been up almost 24hrs we took our refund and went and found another place. Were they lied from the beginning is they dont have truck parking when they say they do but they dont.

Great stay, I will definitely consider staying again in the future. Front desk was very accommodating

Centrally located, and walking distance from several dining choices. Very nice, professional staff. Decent hotel if you’re not picky. No breakfast unless you want a pastry. No fruit or even packets of oatmeal, just one horribly unhealthy option - a honey bun. The property could use some updating (I can’t recall the last time I stayed in a hotel that had carpet in the rooms) and a lot of basic maintenance. One curtain in our room was partially detached & missing the slide rod, making it impossible to close our curtains completely. We were on the first floor next to the entrance so there was pretty frequent foot traffic. The flapper in the toilet tank stuck intermittently, which is a huge waste of water & quite noisy. There was something wrong with the TV stand causing the screen to tilt to the left and could not be straightened. My biggest disappointment, however, was that this hotel IS NOT smoke-free, despite being advertised as such. The smell hit us the second we walked into our room. I let the front desk clerk know immediately because we don’t smoke and I didn’t want to be charged for the smell because someone else did. The front desk clerk offered to give us a different room but I declined since I was in Conroe for a preventative medical procedure and didn’t want to have to worry about navigating upstairs or further down the hallway post op. Our first night I got up around 3am to use the bathroom. I had to fix the toilet and while I was doing that the smell of cigarette suddenly started wafting in. I think an employee uses the common area bathroom (which was next to our room) as a smoking lounge. Not cool. Thankfully I brought a candle & neutralized the smell. Not a bad hotel by any means, it just needs TLC.
