⸻ I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Daytona Grande Oceanfront Resort this past weekend. About a month before our stay, I called and confirmed that my fiancé, who was turning 21, would be able to check in with his Portuguese ID. They assured me everything was fine. However, upon arrival, we were met with hostility from the front desk staff. Andy, the front desk attendant, treated us with obvious disdain and acted as if we were unwelcome. When I presented my fiancé’s ID, she reacted in a very unpleasant and, frankly, discriminatory manner. We felt uncomfortable and singled out. To make matters worse, when we tried to explain and show proof of our earlier call, the staff, including the supervisor, were dismissive and unhelpful. They refused to refund us and essentially forced us out at 9 PM, leaving us stranded in an unfamiliar city, hours away from home. This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. It’s disheartening to see such unprofessional and rude behavior, especially after we had planned and communicated so clearly in advance. I hope the resort improves its customer service and treats guests with the respect they deserve.

From the kind lady at the valley check in, to the extremely thoughtful lady at check in, to the wonderful barista. Everyone was helping, kind and welcoming! The check in person put us on the 25th floor since it was our 25th anniversary! How sweet is that? The bed is comfortable and the ocean view can’t be beat! It was the best night of sleep I had had in days and I loved every part of our experience!
