Delta Hotels by Marriott, Dubai Investment Park

The reception service was extremely poor for several reasons: I was lied to about the laundry. I gave the cleaner some clothes and told him I needed one item in two hours, but he said it was fine and that I could take my time with the rest. When I called, they told me it would take six hours. I told them the cleaner hadn't said that and that I only wanted the blouse back. They returned all the clothes, which I found very unacceptable. The next day, I asked them to clean the clothes, and they said it would take six hours and they would give them to me by 7 PM. 7 PM arrived, and the clothes still hadn't arrived. I had to call reception, and after 12 minutes, they gave me the clothes. I don't think they would have given them to me if I hadn't called. My bill was 36 dirhams, but I found myself paying reception 60 dirhams for just two items! This is the height of exploitation. The third incident: I contacted reception to ask for a driver. They said it was fine, and a round trip to Dubai Theatre would cost 800 dirhams! I told them it was just a return trip, and they said 200 dirhams to be paid in advance. I paid and told them I wanted the driver to pick me up at 1:00 AM and take me back to the hotel. I gave them my location and phone number, and they said the driver would contact me. 1:00 AM came, and no one called. As usual, I had to call the hotel. They said, "Okay, he'll call you back." Twelve minutes passed, and I called again. The receptionist told me the driver would call me back, and the driver contacted him, but his language was unknown. It was very difficult to communicate with him. After a long time, I forced myself to send him my location, and on top of that, he called. I asked him if he was outside, and he said yes. I went outside, but he wasn't there. I asked him where he was, and he said the location I sent him wasn't the same, which wasn't true. I sat for an hour between asking him where he was and him saying, "I'll be there in 10 minutes." It turned into an hour. I can't describe how awful my night was. I've never had an experience like this in my life. I finally arrived at the hotel after a long ordeal and contacted the receptionist to complain. I don't know if he'll even forward the complaint. The hotel looks beautiful from the outside, but the service is terrible. I cried a lot and was on edge. It was the worst experience I've ever had at this hotel. Please be careful and never be fooled by it.
