We checked into Diamanté K today and they were so nice. The stairs to the first room were hard for me so the receptionist moved me to an easier bungalow to get to. Then a maintenance worker was able to adjust the bed curtains so the fan didn’t rub on it. Such good service. It is really lovely here.

We spent three nights at this hotel and appreciated the peaceful escape to a nature park. Everything is very natural, the environment is well preserved, and we were able to observe birds and even a coati. The only downside was our upstairs room with a sea view but an open roof. It felt like a treehouse, which can be a lovely experience when the weather is nice, but that wasn't the case for us on our first day, so we experienced gusts of wind, a chilly air, and dampness in the room. The room was spartan. I find it a bit of a cop-out to use the natural and eco-friendly aspect to justify the lack of comfort in the rooms and especially the price, which is therefore not justified. Otherwise, the beach is superb, and the restaurant with its sea view has pleasant and competent staff. We really enjoyed the restaurant's cuisine.

The hotel's location is perfect, however, it's only accessible by paying the MX$120 entrance fee for the National Park! If you're staying for several days, the fee is charged daily when you leave the park. The red wristband you receive when visiting the ruins is valid for your return to the hotel. At reception, an extremely friendly young man gave us a free room with a private bathroom (we had only booked a shared bathroom), a voucher for a 10% discount at the restaurant (with cash payment), and advised us to order the hotel breakfast for MX$300 rather than individual items. Overall, the hotel seemed a bit run-down, but it was still nice. The long Tulum beach is just a few steps away, while hotels closer to town only have rocky coastlines. The restaurant is highly recommended!
