The location is good, only 200m from the center, relatively quiet, but we were disappointed with the hotel itself, there was an unpleasant smell of mold as soon as we entered the hotel, and even more so in the room, we had to constantly have the windows open... the bathroom door handles are falling off... hygiene products were not provided, apart from soap

Small roaches in the room and crowling free on my bed. It's quite central and includes a very basic breakfast, including just yogurt, cereal, very cheap, low-quality ham, cheese, and bread. Also, mini croissants, jam, nocciola, and butter. The room was dirty. The carpet had a hairclip on the floor from a previous guest, which, btw, the cleaning staff didn't even realise during my stay, 7 days, and they never cleaned it. It was still there when I left. Also, and more importantly, BUGS were coming out at night from the toilet. Yes, BUGS, they looked like small roaches. THEY WERE ALSO IN MY BED. I found them twice running alongside my bed. However, in spite of bringing the issue to the staff at the reception, nothing was done, and the booking was non-refundable, so I had to suck it up. Tbh, they were quite small but completely disgusting. The fridge wasn't working, the bathroom door was cracked and broken, and the shower was full of black mold. Overall, the condition of the room did not meet acceptable hygiene or maintenance standards.

Our experience at Hotel Diana was unfortunately very negative. Now reading some 5-star reviews, I honestly wonder how that's possible: perhaps we stayed at another hotel, because what we found was truly below average. The location is certainly excellent, no complaints there. But everything else... downright pitiful. The carpet was visibly dirty, the bathroom tiny, and the double room turned out to be just two single beds pushed together, which obviously separated easily. I'm not a person with high expectations, but for me, a 3-star hotel should guarantee at least mediocre quality, and yet here we are far below. After falling asleep, exhausted after an 8-hour drive in the rain, I woke up abruptly around midnight because I couldn't breathe: the room had a strong, musty, musty smell, truly unbearable. The showerhead in the bathroom was covered in rust, and the breakfast was meager, with very little choice and nothing that could redeem the stay. As for the staff: the young man who works there was very kind and friendly, really the only positive note. On the other hand, the lady at reception when we arrived was neither empathetic nor welcoming. After such a long, rainy journey, a smile or a modicum of kindness would have been enough to make us feel welcome... which unfortunately didn't happen. And I say this as someone who has worked at the hotel: this establishment, in my opinion, is beyond reproach. In conclusion, a huge disappointment. It's a shame, because the location deserved a whole different level of management.
