Dobedan World Palace

The hotel caters to Russian families. Entertainment, cuisine, reception: Russian is spoken everywhere, Russian music is played, even borscht. Besides Russians and Turks, I didn't encounter any foreign nationals. Whether that's good or bad is a personal choice. I didn't see anyone drunk or rowdy. Everything is calm and dignified. At exactly 11:00 PM, the entertainment ends, and the crowd goes to the bar and reception. Reception. It's entirely Russian-speaking. You can add a phone number via WhatsApp and be contacted through guest relations if you need to ask anything about the hotel. All our requests were promptly fulfilled. Thank you for the stay ;) Grounds and beach. The hotel grounds are well-designed. The beach is wide and long. Along the beach are several areas with cafes, showers, and restrooms. There's a large pier. The buildings are located so that each is equally easy to reach the beach. The grounds feature a variety of food and beverage outlets, lounges, swimming pools, children's playgrounds, and, conversely, quieter 16+ zones. Near the restaurant, there's an artificial waterfall with a lake for flamingos and swans. It's a pleasure to sip coffee and admire the birds over breakfast. There's also an amphitheater and a lively activity area by the sea with a stage. This is where entertainment programs are held day and evening, including dancing, performances, and foam discos. There's also a mini-canteen open all day with a sea view. You don't have to go to the restaurant for lunch. Pools and spa. The grounds are decorated with numerous intricate pools and children's water slides. Two outdoor pools are heated during the cooler months. There's a fitness room with a variety of exercise machines. Next to it is a spa complex with a hammam, sauna, indoor pool, and massage rooms. However, the spa is located a bit away from the beach, which is inconvenient for me. You won't be able to run around in the sauna after an off-season swim. Rooms. Spacious with wide balconies. We got a renovated room on the second floor of Building 6. Everything was clean, new, and pleasant. A wide 180-cm bed, a second single bed, and a small sofa. Good linens and comfortable mattresses. A balcony with a table and chairs. It's equipped with a swimsuit dryer. The room has a minibar with beer and water, a kettle, a safe, and a hairdryer. The only problem is that the room gets a little chilly at the end of the season. Upon request, they immediately brought us extra blankets and even a heater. Food. Normal, plentiful, and consistent. Nothing special, but everything was fresh and well-prepared. No overabundance of mayonnaise-based salads. In the evening, a varied grill: meat, fish, vegetables. Always two types of soup, often borscht. Delicious mousse cakes. Various fruits. Besides the main restaurant, there are many places to grab a snack or drink until 10 PM. There's a 24-hour night table in the main restaurant and a bar at reception. I'm not a big fan of alcohol, but it seemed like they mostly offered Turkish equivalents. Animation. Also not my strong suit. But there were some activities, including in the pool, in the fitness center, and on the sun loungers. There were performances in the amphitheater, and discos on the stage by the sea. Location. The hotel is located on the beachfront in the village of Kemer. It's a quiet, green area. There's not much to do outside the hotel, just a row of shops and pharmacies, a favorite among Russians. But it's not far to Kemer. It's a 15-20-minute dolmush ride. The bus stops right outside the hotel gates. For hikers, you can reach Kemer via the mountain road or walk to the more lively Çamyuva. We took a taxi to Phaselis, and the taxi drivers blatantly lied about the price. They told us one price when we got on, and another when we got off. It was a bad experience. We returned by dolmuş to Kemer, and from there to Kemer. Dolmuş buses only go to and from Kemer. In November, the tour agencies in Kemer were closed, there was nowhere to exchange rubles, and many shops were closed. The trees were shedding their leaves. Dobedan is ideal for the beginning and end of the season – there's an area for walking, you can play sports, it's quiet and not too dim, and most importantly, there are heated outdoor pools. Since we vacationed in mid-November, this is especially important.

Classy place...

Staying at this hotel again is a very pleasant experience. We see many upgrades that are truly pleasing. The hotel staff and management are always very attentive and caring. On the downside, there's only one towel rack, and it's insufficient. Also, sun loungers are often reserved in advance, which could use a solution.
