I have had the pleasure of staying at the Don Q for a couple of family events and the quality of the rooms and service from the staff never disappoints. When in Southwest Wisco, do yourself a favor and stay at the Don Q Inn!!!

My grandson and I stayed at the hotel during a road trip. Although the hotel was showing it's age a little, it was still very comfortable and cozy. I enjoyed the vintage furniture and displays, and touring the airplane parked right in the yard was a highlight. The pool was refreshing, and they had a good breakfast center in the morning. The owner was very friendly, and spent some time talking to us about the plane.

My significant other & I found out about this place and were very excited to check it out to celebrate our valentine's day early...We drove over 2 hours to come here and it was very disappointing. We had reserved the Cave room and when we walked inside, there was a very distinct musty aroma in the room, the Jacuzzi would not turn on no matter how hard we turned the faucet, and we found a whole colony of ants all around the Jacuzzi and on the towels sitting by the Jacuzzi...how upsetting! At that point, we were planning on just cutting our losses and starting the 2 hour drive back home...However, when we went back up to the front counter and explained the situation to the man working the desk, he told us that, the ant issue has happened on more than one occasion in the Cave room...So the man attempted to improve our stay by offering us a different fantasy themed room to stay in at no extra cost AND said I would be recieving a 25% discount off my total stay because we were unable to stay in the initial room we reserved. The gentleman showed us 3 other rooms that were available this past Friday evening and we ended up choosing the Caesars Palace themed room. We were very hopeful that our night was going to start getting better, we were wrong. My significant other turned on the Jacuzzi and let it run for a good, 5-10 minutes to warm up and it was ice cold! The themed wallpaper in the room was peeling off and the pieces that were somewhat staying on, were being held together by scotch tape. We had this trip planned for a while and drove a decent distance to stay here, so having an awful experience and driving home at almost 930pm, was quite upsetting. After our issue with now the 2nd room, we went back up to the counter and told the man we were going to cut our loses and just go home. He then said I would be recieving a FULL REFUND back on the card I used to reserve our stay and yet, this morning I checked my balance on said card and I was not refunded my money, nor did I even receive the 25% discount he initially offered regarding our issues with our first room...I found out about this place from Tiktok and honestly I wish I didn't. If you are considering checking out the Don Q Inn, I highly recommend you do not. All the reviews on this place are very mixed. After everything is said and done, looking back on it, it is very difficult to find a real genuine review of the place. When I was looking at reviews, I only managed to find 1 negative review from someone that actually had a very similar experience that we ended up having. As fun and quirky as this place seems, its not worth the cost they are charging for the themed rooms. Staying at a decent hotel is a better choice than risking having a bad experience here. The Don Q Inn has some serious renovating to do...
