Firstly, the staff are very friendly and any negative aspects of this review do not apply to them. I've read a few reviews of this hotel on Google and some are far fetched and don't match my experience... An example being the location. It's located on an industrial estate - if Screwfix and the local kebab van are your thing then you'll love it - if not then I recommend you stay elsewhere... Maybe towards Bristol city centre or at least further down Filton avenue... Yes, it's near(ish) Cribbs Causeway but you'll still need to drive there. The hotel should be regarded as a motorway stop off - it's just off the M5 - don't let the Hilton brand kid you into it being anything otherwise. My other gripe with this hotel is the parking situation. Charging £8 per night (discounted for hotel patrons) is cheeky... Like previously stated, the hotel is on an industrial estate. During my 3 night stay work was going on to add electric car charging points, so a good 25% was unavailable. I paid upfront for 3 nights parking - on 2 of which there were no parking slots available... Yes, I was refunded for the 2 nights but that isn't the point - they shouldn't have been charging at all while the significant work was ongoing. Cars were parked everywhere - on double yellow lines and outside of designated bays - increasing risk of accidental damage when parking. The rooms (well my room at least) are looking tired and in need of upgrade - the bathroom was ok but the toilet needed a jolly good toilet duck. The mattresses were uncomfortable and seemingly misshapen - it was like sleeping on a dome and I kept rolling towards the edge. My room was connected to an adjoining room with a door. There was a young family staying there with a baby crying throughout the 3rd night... Obviously, no fault of theirs, babies can't help but cry and they were probably awoken more with my snoring... The point is that they should have been allocated a non connecting room in order to reduce noise - not only for me but also for them. Apart from the above, the hotel was ok. My family seemed to enjoy themselves. I wouldn't really recommend the place and it is without doubt the worst Hilton I've stayed in over the years... The staff were nice though - which is why I've rated them three stars overall.
