Good hotel in downtown area close to restaraunts and bars but elevator at parking garage did not work and it was very dangerous to walk through the stairways. The room was nice but wasn't cleaned thoroughly, crumbs were in floor and bed linen was spiked on the corners and pillowcases. I had to call front desk requesting a new room, which they were supposedly full. I dont believe it because there wasn't many people moving around in and out of the hotel. Few people were in the bar. Anyways, they came to the room and cleaned it and put fresh bed linens on the bed. Their pillows go flat when you lay your head down so we got 4 extra. Overall they were okay,and the front desk people were very nice and accommadating accommodating.

This was a disappointing stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Charlotte City Center due to multiple unprofessional issues. Upon check-in, the receptionist refused to transfer our Hilton Rewards points to our personal accounts. Both myself and my colleagues were told that points could only be transferred to the person who booked the trip, which is not how Hilton Rewards is typically handled and felt dismissive and poorly explained. The valet service was even worse. The valet damaged our rental car, leaving a small crack on the front bumper. On the morning of departure, there was no valet present at all, forcing us to walk and retrieve the car ourselves. That is when we discovered the damage and immediately took photos as documentation. Between the misinformation at the front desk, the lack of accountability, and the damage to our vehicle, this stay was far from the standard expected from a Hilton property. Overall, it was a very unprofessional experience, and I would not recommend this location based on our stay.
