I write this review frustrated, minutes after the bell rang from the church right opposite the room. I am supposed to come and relax, not waking up at 7 a.m. Besides that we had a call from the hotel a day before we arrived informing us that we had a room upgrade for free with a sea view. When we arrived we went to the room that as I said has a church and the town hall opposite so no sea view at all. The receptionist also let us know that they don't do breakfast even though we had asked for, but they waited for us to arrive to give that info. As I am writing this review the bell from the church rang twice more. I just want to go to quiet place to sleep. Come to Ydra but stay elsewhere or you will regret it.

We were charged twice for our stay, and despite continuous attempts since 2024 to resolve this and obtain a refund, the hotel has completely ignored us. This is not a minor issue or a misunderstanding — it is an unresolved double charge with zero communication from the hotel. We have contacted them multiple times and received no replies whatsoever. Taking extra money from guests and then refusing to respond is unprofessional and unacceptable. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel. Our experience at the property was quite strange and started with a reservation (via Thessaloniki) that apparently never got activated. We were greeted by a maid who wasn't expecting us and we had to guide her to the room, which was clean, but basic items, such as the duvet, were missing. During our stay, communication required us to look for the owner even to confirm the price or the maid for cleaning. However, these issues were resolved and everything went well. We would suggest that the property improve the organization of reservations and the reception of guests, so that the experience is more comfortable from the start.
