East Grand Inn

If your looking for just basic lodging and not a jacuzzi suite this is what you want. It's priced very fairly and it still has awesome cereal and bagels in the morning and excellent coffee around the clock. The owners are really good people and care about their guests.

Very good choice in low bujet. Manager Ashish Singh and owner are very helpful and nice. I love this place for extanded stay. Owner also owned Indian restaurant in Grand Forks City. Which is the only option for lndian food lovers in Grand Forks.

⭐️ East Grand Inn – East Grand Forks, MN ★☆☆☆☆ (One star because zero stars is “too negative,” apparently.) The ONLY reason I stayed here was because the reviews online listed it as GOOD. I’m hoping to change that! Staying at the East Grand Inn is like checking into a sociological experiment run by people who hate people. I pulled into the parking lot and immediately thought, “Ah… so THIS is where I die.” It looked like a cartel meeting crashed into a yard sale and nobody survived. Empty tequila bottles everywhere, used syringes scattered around like some kind of budget Halloween decoration, and I’m tiptoeing through the debris like I’m defusing landmines. I get up to my “non-smoking” room — which is adorable, by the way — because this place hasn’t been non-smoking since Moses came down the mountain with the tablets. The carpet has more burn holes than the surface of Mercury. I’m looking at this floor like, “What was happening in here, a ritual? A séance conducted by chain-smokers?” Then the mattress. OH. MAN!!! This “mattress” isn’t a mattress. It’s a medieval chiropractic experiment gone rogue. I lay down, and every spring in that thing jumps out like, “Hey, buddy, thought you might’ve forgotten about me from 5 seconds ago! — BAM!” I went to sleep tired and woke up feeling like I’d been jumped by a gang of disgruntled porcupines. The mattress poked me so many times I’m shocked I didn’t wake up speaking in Morse code. At one point I was like, “Is this thing trying to puncture my soul?” I probably should fill out a police report; I’ve been poked so many times. And then… the aromas. Sweet mercy. Now, you people know I love to eat EVERY type of food, but I never once said I wanted to sleep in the restaurants!!! The entire building smells like four different ethnic food trucks got into a turf war in the hallway. I walked out of that room every morning smelling like a global potluck hosted by people who don’t believe in ventilation. I carried those scents with me ALL DAY. I wasn’t a person anymore; I was a smorgasbord with legs. I’m pretty sure I smelled like a styrofoam to-go container that got forgotten in the back of your fridge 3 months ago! By checkout, I needed a shower, a penicillin shot, and possibly an exorcism. I considered burning my clothes, but honestly I think THEY tried to burn THEMSELVES. Bottom line? If you enjoy sleeping, breathing, or being alive, stay anywhere else. Sleep in your truck. Sleep in a ditch. Sleep IN THE RIVER. But this place? This place should come with a medical waiver, a tetanus booster, and a priest on standby.
