Econo Lodge Lake City

My room was pretty good other than the floor and ceiling were filthy. The bottom of my bare feet turned black from walking on it. The ceiling has dirty webs hanging from it. Everything else was good.

I urge everyone to stay away from this place. If you are needing to stay the night some place, just drive a little further in either direction. ANY hotel would be better than here. The rooms were so unsanitary, I am certain it would never have passed any kind of health inspection. The bathroom walls had something smeared on them, there was half eaten pieces of food throughout the room, there were used tissues and Q-tips on the floor (in plain view), and some fruity Pebbles caked on furniture/trash cans. We were absolutely disgusted, however when we brought this to the attention of the hotel staff they simply went along as though this was normal. Hotel staff was rude. There was not even an attempt at customer service. They couldn't be bothered to accommodate any request to change rooms. We knew within minutes of checking in that we did not want to stay but they would not issue a refund. This business, as well as any other business that conducts their operations this way, should be held accountable. It's not right for any business to take someone's hard earned money knowing that that person or family did not get what they paid for. In this case, we did not stay in the room or use the amenities that we paid for.

Where to begin.... This place needs a major update. The carpeting is stained. The walls are gross. We had a fur baby with us and she kept on digging under the AC/Heater.When we went to inspect what was she digging at ,there was a bunch of food and nasty stuff under the Unit. Customer service was not great at all.We only stayed for approximately 3 hours and left.. We were told we are not going to be refunded for anything.We will never be back there.
