Econo Lodge Seymour

I live in econolodge for 8 months, the staff there partially is good and attentive. i can name 3 ladies that were always nice and great to work with. their management is downright disrespectful, they DO NOT tend to their room needs like roaches & smoke alarms (that had been asked for over and over for months) i paid almost $1600.00 a month there and they wouldn’t do simply things like change a battery in the smoke detector, but let’s not talk about how i just simply didn’t have one at all for 4 months straight that they took off mind you. their management wants nothing more than your money. half of their “housekeepers” don’t even do their job and when they do, it’s always half done. i had a worker give out my name and room number to two guys i didn’t even know, which is against policy. that same worker put all the trash that was in their parking lot on the hood of my car assuming it was me. they never changed out my linens and towels. the roaches. they would always try and blame me for the bug issue but if i’m being honest, they were there our first night and just progressively got worse. i kept my room very well kept as i had two small children. i worked a job and it was one of my first weeks, and i didn’t get paid when i was supposed to (fault of my job) and they ran up into my hotel room screaming and yelling at me to leave (i had been here 6 months at this time). i explained the situation with them and they (management) was okay with it, we had it all talked it out and i’d pay them as soon as i got a paycheck, awesome fine, they continued to harass me for money, they wouldn’t change out my things out of spite. on countless occasions they would pop the lock of my door while my kids and i were sleeping (mind you they didn’t have to clean my room i did it myself, they were paid, and it wasn’t ever a day they had to “change my linens or towels”) just to harass me and ask me questions that NEVER pertained them. they singled me out. i was a single mom trying to make ends meet and they singled me out. id advise you to NEVER visit this location as nothing on their website is even true. they have no breakfast, their pool has been out of service for multiple summers, and again they have a horrible roach problem. i had nowhere else to go at the time, but i have finally gotten out from under their thumbs as to why i’m finally able to speak out about this location. there’s way too much foot traffic anyways! the only thing they truly have going for them is their wifi is good and there are several food services around, other than that absolutely not! hope this helps SOMEONE!

Nice location,conveniently located next to an abundant amount of places to eat. Front desk staff was awesome and very friendly. Room was very spacious and loved the wood floors. Bed was so so. Shower was hot, towels could use an upgrade. All in all good value for the price paid.
