Beautiful place

A great hotel, very comfortable. I had a wonderful time and relaxed a lot.

We visited Chante Spa Hotel to celebrate our anniversary and had a very nice experience overall, although there were a few things that could be improved. The package we purchased included "Spa and use of facilities for one day." Booking was easy, and before the massage, you can choose between a sauna, steam room, or tubs for 30 minutes. We chose the tubs, and it was a highly recommended experience. The access indicated by Google Maps isn't the best, as the road is very neglected and entirely cobblestone; there's surely a better route. Upon arrival, the parking lot is in front of the hotel, and a gentleman helps you with your luggage to reception. From that moment, the sensory experience begins: each space has a different aroma to avoid overwhelming you, which is a nice touch. Upon entering, you're asked for ID and a $2,000 deposit, in addition to filling out a form. Then, you're assigned a locker with a digital combination. We arrived early and were allowed to use the common areas. Before entering the tubs, they provide you with a bathrobe and disposable underwear. The tubs are private, making the experience more intimate and relaxing. Towels, water, and everything are very clean are provided. Afterward, you're invited to a waiting room where they offer nuts, almonds, and cranberries, as well as natural or chlorophyll-infused water. They also place a seed-filled neck wrap on you while you wait for your massage. The massage therapists are very professional: they explain everything, give you time to get comfortable, and the relaxing massage is delightful, with a low-medium pressure ideal for unwinding. I even dozed off for a moment. At the end, they braid your hair and tell you that you can continue your day at the spa. The spa staff is truly excellent. What we didn't love: When we went to the pool, we couldn't enjoy it because the water was extremely cold. It would be great if they installed heating, especially since there are no shaded areas. Because of this, we went to the jacuzzi, which was at a good temperature, but it also lacks shade. The waiter's service was quite poor: he never approached us to offer anything; I even had to go and order food and drinks myself. However, a gentleman, whom we believe was the manager, approached us very attentively to ask if we needed anything. We asked for an umbrella, and they simply told us it wasn't possible, even though there was a way to put one up safely. The food, though, was delicious. The aguachile negro is amazing, and the micheladas are great too, since they use the same base as the aguachile. In short: A wonderful spa experience, beautiful facilities, and excellent service in the treatment area. We would only suggest improving the service from the waiter in the pool area and considering heating the pool so we could truly enjoy it. It's definitely a place we would return to for the spa, but we hope they take these details into account to make the experience perfect.
