Elite Hotel Marina Tower

Unfortunately, I did not find this hotel to be value for money for what we paid. We stayed for one night in a superior double room and had access to the hotel's spa, paying a total of 3001 SEK for two people. Both the reception and the restaurant were very fresh and stylish, the remaining floors unfortunately looked like a Finnish ferry. Our room was in quite a big need of maintenance and better cleaning. To give a slightly clearer picture: - There were a lot of stains from hands and scratches on some of the walls. - The carpet in the room had a big stain on it. - There was a hole in the wall under the TV, looked like something had previously been there but had now been removed. - The TV worked very poorly. It was not possible to cast to it according to the instructions and occasionally it did not react when you pressed the control for several minutes. - Very outdated interior design that did not really fit the vibe of a hotel with that name and building. I expected a bit more detail and thought out design concept when the hotel houses such a cool building and costs a lot. I can add that we did not have the same furniture as the picture of the hotel room had on the website. However, as always with Elite hotels when it comes to the rooms, very comfortable beds! The spa area was visually beautiful, great changing rooms and nice and fresh inside the spa area. However, our visit was experienced more like a visit to an ESS-group pool club (which usually costs around 300 SEK) than a relaxed experience that you paid 1500 SEK for 2 people (2.5 hours). The noise level in there was quite absurd for a spa, you often couldn't hear the music and people were talking loudly even in the quiet hammam section. I don't know if that's standard for this spa or if we were just unlucky, the atmosphere was completely different at Vana Spa Vasastan when I visited it before. I would have generally recommended going there instead of here, as this place, in addition to the high noise level, also lacked a jacuzzi or other type of hot bath. But the hotel also had its advantages. All the staff we spoke to, both at the spa and the regular hotel part, were nice and very service-minded. The hotel restaurant served very good food. We took it on room service and had it delivered to the room quite quickly, that part was superb. The breakfast was of a high standard with everything you could wish for too. I can therefore imagine that a day stay here, a visit to the restaurant or early in the spa when there are probably not as many people, would probably have been nicer. Otherwise, I would like to give a compliment to the person who took care of my booking, who made sure that we got a room placed according to my wishes. It's just a shame that the design, maintenance and cleaning of the rooms were, as I said, inadequate in relation to the price you had to pay. That is mainly what brings down my rating.

What a hotel experience! Great room with the best view in Stockholm! The food in the restaurant was super delicious and you didn't have to wait long at all to get the food you ordered! I really have nothing to complain about! See you again!
