Good room but very noisy music until 2 a.m. but very very small bathroom. Old gym with broken equipment.

A hotel connected to other hotels like the Porto Hotel. (It's the same owner). We'll take the positives: the room is very nice! The bathroom is a little small compared to the room, but the room is very nice! The staff is 98% welcoming and friendly. The remaining 2% don't smile and pull a face at the bar. The location: souvenir shops up the street, as well as lots of car rental shops. There's bus stop #22, which serves many excursions or to Heraklion. The room is clean, and the towels are changed every day (except for us on Saturdays—no cleaning—but we don't know why). The negatives: the self-service restaurant!!!! In the low season, it's a disaster!! An endless wait for coffee or hot water because only one machine out of two works, and since they're both in the same place... It's a never-ending line! It's the same struggle at mealtimes to get drinks (if you can call it that, because frankly, the drinks aren't good at all). The food is okay, but we realize that all-inclusive prices are getting higher every year, and it's understandable when you see some people who waste a lot of money without any fear. There are very few tables, in the end, compared to the number of tourists, so there's a queue (and I understand the criticism from July and August visitors). The choice, well, it's often the same thing. If you don't want to queue, you can have pasta and fries every day! We had one meal at Black Pepper, which is under the same ownership; it's the same food as at the self-service restaurant, except you're served! Reservations are made at reception. They tell us it's full, even though it's not at all! And you have to choose your dish in advance. (With three days in advance, they want to know what you want to eat.) Steps, steps, and steps! And especially steps that we have to take in the dark because night falls and the light doesn't work! We learned the day before leaving that there was a gym downstairs from the hotel, but the hammam and jacuzzi aren't functional (at least not in September). That's the rundown of our stay.
