The Essensio Hotel has potential, but it desperately needs to improve its service! This was my first and last visit. The value for money is simply not there. My stay was for business. I was out all day, arriving at the hotel around 7:00 PM. At reception, I asked what time the restaurant was open and was told that the bar and restaurant were closed that day. For a guest who had been out all day, this meant: - no drinks - no dinner - getting back in the car - driving again - not being able to relax This could have been mentioned politely in the booking confirmation! Only after asking did I receive a recommendation for dinner. Okay, I was the last guest to check in, and the porter wanted to go home, but he still showed me to my room 👍🏻. The room appeared to be renovated, but it smelled old and unpleasant, as did the hand and bath towels. ... It wasn't until the next morning that I discovered two bloodstains on my bedsheet; it was disgusting. Breakfast was okay, my only complaint being the pre-baked rolls. The service was very attentive. At checkout, I calmly mentioned the issues I was dissatisfied with. They apologized, and that was that. It's a real shame, actually. The hotel is in a quiet location, and the rooms seemed newly renovated. If it weren't for these issues, I would definitely recommend the hotel. Currently, definitely not. Attached are two photos: 1. shows the bloodstains on the duvet. 2. shows the masking tape around a ceiling light, suggesting that the ceiling has been repainted.

Nice hotel but service is rough around the edges. Very nice rooms, and restaurant (food and staff) is very good. Very calm and quiet and nice gym. No staff at reception from 9pm to 8am (nobody at desk in the early morning to check out). Very difficult to get an functioning iron and ironing board (to iron a shirt in the morning). Of four of us staying, two had hot water, two of us did not.

I spent a wellness weekend there with a friend. It's a nice hotel with a small but lovely spa area. The massage was exceptionally good. The sauna area was also very pleasant. Dinner was delicious, although the breakfast buffet could have offered a bit more. It was too limited for our liking. The rooms were excellent, and the bed was really very comfortable.
