Overall, the hotel is nice, but many of the finishes are mediocre. We didn't use the famous terrace, which has a shared staircase with the next room (so you can easily bump into your neighbor and see their living room, not very private). The private pool is tiny. The room was clean (cleaned daily), and the bed was comfortable. However, the shower wasn't very good, and the sink faucet was loose. The service was very good, but be aware that breakfast isn't included (this was mentioned in our booking). The road leading to the hotel is full of potholes, which fill up when it rains. The hotel is quite remote; in any case, Tulum is known for its beaches, not its town center. If you don't have a car, it's difficult!

The rooms were okay, but there were occasional power outages. The shower didn't work properly. The receptionist wasn't helpful. This could be addressed.
