Excelsior Hotel Cimone LowCost

Do not book here! When looking for hotels (on December 11, 2025) for a bigger group in San Martino di Castrozza, I've made bookings for 2 hotels, from which this was one. Of course, with free cancellation. Still, after booking the money was immediately charged without any warning. When after 2 days we decided to cancel this booking, the hotel suddenly didn't respond to my messages anymore and since then I did not see any penny of my money...

Never mind the dated furnishings, never mind the 4 PM check-in, never mind the camper-sized bathroom, patched up and with little toilet paper, but never mind the sagging beds and cold tap water! The hotel may be considered cheap, but I still paid to wash and sleep. The double bed had an orthopedic base on one side and an old metal base on the other, which touched the floor. The single bed was also sagging. I couldn't sleep. Hot water came out of the bidet and cold from the sink. Fortunately, I only stayed one night and I don't understand the positive reviews this hotel has received. It's a shame because it's in a great location, but I definitely won't be returning.

The hotel has a strategic location but needs to improve a little in customer management during meals. Too many people at the buffet with the staff rushed because in my opinion not enough but very very helpful in trying to remedy some shortcomings or delays, at the reception the staff was very very kind super friendly even the waiters in charge of breakfast in the bar room were very very nice and professional Pavlo and Mihaela were very very good also the customer service manager very very welcoming and helpful also a guy from Naples met the first few days very nice and friendly at the reception together with Joy always smiling and helpful the entertainer Alan was also very nice.....you just need to try to improve the entry time to the restaurant in the evening and have a sufficient number of tables, staff in the room and quantity of food for all customers...increase the tables and chairs in the bar room a little...in my opinion with a table service there would be less confusion and fewer complaints because the customer can choose only two/three dishes so the staff already knows in the evening or at lunch the exact quantity of food to prepare without No waste or queues at the buffet. Only for vegetables could you leave the buffet free to choose from. I've always had good experiences with this formula in other hotels. I can only recommend these improvements. Even in the rooms, some things should be fixed... but overall, they had a nice view, were clean and heated, but some finishing touches were missing... over time, I think it can become an excellent structure. It has so much potential, space, and a strategic location. Good luck for the future... it can always be improved through customer advice.
