Stayed for the weekend for Comic Con with a friend. The stay was good as the people were friendly, the beds were cosy & price was good. The only issues were the bed sheets were clearly old as there were a couple of tears in them & the bathroom door lock was broken. The door did wedge into its own frame, but still not really ideal. Also, if we wanted housekeeping to clean our room, we had to pay $40 for them to come each time. Since we were only staying a few days we managed but in other hotels I’ve stayed in they don’t do this so this feels a little unnecessary. If the reason is beneficial only for the staff who do the housekeeping, then I can understand this, otherwise the hotel’s just being greedy. Regardless, I would recommend this place to stay in. Just needs a bit of tlc is all.

I have stayed here for over 25 years, it's changed hands a couple of times, but the new owners seem to be working to making things better. If you are used to 5 star hotels, this is not your spot. Rooms are older and on the small side, but they are perfect for me. I stayed here for work and now since I've retired. Very close to the symphony metro stop. Easy to get to many places. I often stay here for football games. The people who work here are very nice and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. It is across from the most fantastic library you will ever see. I got in one time quite early and the really nice gentleman at the desk let me get in early. Last time I couldn't, but they kept my bags and I went to explore the International district. The adjoining coffee shop is fabulous. In a city known for coffee, it is a step above. Their pastries and breakfast sandwiches are also some of the best in Seattle. I will be there this upcoming Sunday.

We were in town for Emerald City Comic Con. Rooms were clean enough but small. The temperature setting was either hot or cold, no in between. The rooms have a fridge but no microwave. We asked the front desk about a microwave and they pointed us to the lounge on the second floor next to the exercise room. This was acceptable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is not accessible at all. To get to the elevators you either need to go down seven stairs with luggage or up 14 stairs. I don't know what they do to accommodate people with wheelchairs. My daughter had a sprained ankle and had to navigate up the stairs with a cane. The elevators were both functional on our trip. We took Amtrak into town and were able to hop on light rail to get to a station one block away from the hotel. Similarly we took the bus or light rail to the convention center and it was a 3 block walk on relatively flat ground to get there from the light rail.
