Extended Stay America Suites Phoenix Peoria

I should have known not to do our stay here the first moment we walked in. As soon as I arrived, I was told that my booking was not valid and was not to be accepted because I had booked through a third party. I booked through Chase using points, and that was how I intended to pay for this stay. But was told that I had to pay in cash or card at the desk in order to stay here, as they would not accept third-party bookings. That on its own should have told me to run away as fast as I could and stay somewhere else. The room itself was poorly maintained, with holes in the chair, the bedding, the wall, and the shower. The shower curtain drooped into a U shape, and so the curtains continued to fall while you were taking a shower no matter how many times you pushed them back up; you had to fight gravity to shower without throwing water everywhere. The breakfast left much to be desired: coffee, oatmeal packets, and Nutria-Grain bars. It was the saddest hotel breakfast I've ever seen. They told us that housekeeping would only come every 14 days, even though the corporate pamphlets we got said 7. That leads me to believe that this particular Extended Stay doesn't honor that rule, which is also sad. I joked with my wife the whole time that this place was meant to crank up misery as much as possible. After leaving, I still feel that way, although a bit more seriously. It felt like all the policies were intended to punish us because we were thieves -- we were even told this directly by staff, that the policies that treated us as low trust individuals (including not accepting my prior booking) were because of fraud and thieves. It was things like giving us a kitchen but no silverware or plates or anything, having to ask for them at the front desk and then receiving as little as possible, etc. This was not a cheap hotel, and I didn't expect to be treated as if I had paid nothing for the room. But it really felt like everyone there and the policies in place were designed to make us want to leave early. I will not be coming back, and anyone who even mentions Extended Stay will hear at least 5 minutes of my rambling about our experience. This was abhorrent, and I hope to never again be unfortunate enough to step foot on the property of Extended Stay Peoria.

Price is phenomenal, bed is comfortable, vinyl plank flooring is great for keeping it clean, water is hot, nice shower pressure, a desk for working and everything you need is very walkable.

The breakfast is horrible they put out coffee at 6:00 and put out muffins and granola bars at 7:00 which makes no sense My wife's e-bike got stolen while we were there and there was bed bugs crawling all over the bed The shower didn't work The TV channel sucked the internet sucked and the phones didn't work either My overall experience is to play suck they rip me off because they charge me $600 for 7 days then I met somebody else who had rented the place walked in rented it same way we did and they charged him $420 The price gouging's outrageous depending on the employee at the front desk at the time My overall experience is do not go there they suck and I want my money back
