This is an amazing establishment in an amazing location at Daytona One, with nice rooms and the pricing was outstanding, very hard to beat. What made the experience so bad?! The attendant at the front desk. Don't remember her name, but she manned the desk the night of the night of Jan 1st upon my arrival and the morning of the 2nd upon my departure. Hispanic woman (I believe) with neck length black hair and glasses. To put it plainly, she was RUDE, DISMISSIVE AND CONDESCENDING. Her entire attitude changed when I showed her my license, she demanded I take it out, to which I asked her if she couldn't read it from my wallet, which had right in front of her. From that point on, her entire disposition changed, she was far less friendly, her disposition was poor and I suspect that is why I was denied a late checkout upon request when I called and asked the next morning. She specifically said she needed to look at my room and my file. Last I checked, it depended on availability and whether I'm a Bonvoy Member (which there was and which I AM)...and I've stayed at more than enough Marriott chains to KNOW that they will comply unless there are extreme circumstances that prevent it. If this is the kind of representation that Marriott wishes to employ, they will lose business. She need not be in the hospitality industry if she treats others the way she treated me and should be terminated promptly for her lack of proper customer service. Dear Marriott, DO SOMETHING. DO BETTER.
