I recently stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Lafayette South, and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. The hotel is incredibly clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and the Riverview is absolutely stunning — a peaceful and memorable part of the stay. The staff truly makes this property stand out. On the morning team, Danny, Barbra, and Ana were outstanding — warm, helpful, and always on top of everything to make sure guests start their day right. In the afternoon, Danielle provided excellent service, always professional, friendly, and ready to assist with anything needed. Lovie, part of the overnight staff, was also wonderful, keeping the hotel safe, welcoming, and well-managed throughout the night. A special shout-out goes to Manager Justin, whose leadership is clearly reflected in how smoothly the hotel operates and how well the entire team performs. He truly goes above and beyond to ensure guests have an excellent experience. I highly recommend this location to anyone visiting the area. Fantastic staff, spotless rooms, and an unforgettable Riverview make this hotel truly exceptional!

I never got to stay at the hotel so I can’t speak to the cleanliness or anything of the room however, when I was notified that my flight was canceled due to the government shutdown, I notified the hotel and they told me I would still be charged the late cancellation fee of $100 or I could change the date. I said if I can’t get there in the time I needed I was canceling my business trip and as a Marriott platinum member, they typically will grant you that request. The young lady I spoke to was extremely rude and said no they would not be doing that. I was able to call Bonvoy corporate and get it taken care of, but if they Hotel is so rude for an extenuating circumstance that is clearly out of my control. I can’t imagine what the actual hotel is like. I will definitely be skipping this one my next time in Lafayette !

Facility is immaculate and location is fantastic. However I am a titanium elite member and the staff sucks I was not only charged more than one time and a different price each time for “incidental”. I didn’t let that part bother me as much as I get a late check out because I am a titanium elite member and I was denied that. I asked for some complimentary water for the children I was traveling with I was also denied that and to top it all off when I asked to speak with a manger I was told no manager was on on site so I will definitely come back just because it is a very nice facility but I will know what to expect when it comes to the staff
