Within a few minutes walk of the Gateway of India, near Apollo Bandar. Good rooms and a bar and restaurant with a swimming pool. Be careful in the bathroom, the tub is slippery with no grab bars!

Except for the location of this hotel, I cannot seem to figure out how in God’s name is it deemed as a 4-star hotel. With only 1 staff at the reception check in didn’t take long and was pleasant. Booked their “Superior Room” for 3 nights and the moment I walked into the room it looked more like a box shaped room which would put some of the OYO rooms to shame. The en-suite bathroom was not at all acceptable. No exhaust, no ventilation unless of course you open the bathroom door while using it! Shower head was leaking from side kind of spraying water all around and had to manage it somehow. The so called “Fariyas Wi-Fi” is just for namesake & will remind you of the dial-up connections we used to have at home. Sometimes it works for a bit then goes down abruptly. Call help desk to complain about it and they automatically assume you are watching movies/videos on your device. I called help desk to complain when I was just trying to open and read an article; their response was hilarious: “Hotel Wi-Fi is not for watching streaming videos”. When I told them I was just trying to read an article, they promised to “re-start” the Wi-Fi but as expected nothing happened & it remained the same. Thank God I had good amount of mobile data to manage. The corridor carpet has a distinct smell & clearly gives an indication that deep cleaning needs to be done. My next day after checking in they probably had some termite issue next door and instead of ensuring other nearby guests are either shifted to another room, they decided to open the termite infested room and spray with heavy odor chemical which had a strong pungent smell throughout the corridor and inside my room. Overall, the stay at the hotel was not pleasant at all and I for one would definitely not recommend anyone I know to stay here.
