For the first time during my stay, I wanted to go home because of the hotel's standard. We were given a different room than we'd chosen. It was larger, but it was on two levels, so the downstairs bedroom was so cold we had to sleep in sweatshirts. After reporting this to reception, we were given extra blankets, but the matter of changing the room was ignored. The hotel requires a complete cleaning; the room was very dirty, and the blankets we were given were covered in dirt. Regarding the spa, we were informed of a free private hour, but it was only available at selected times, and when we booked on the first day of our stay, the appointment was only for our last day. The spa also leaves much to be desired. It's not cleaned regularly, all the tiles are dirty, and only a few items in the pool are working. Of course, during our "private" stay, there were other guests besides us for half an hour, and then, when they left, the staff came and left the door unlocked. As for the food, the main meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are very good; unfortunately, the snacks at the bar are a letdown.

I was considering giving it 2 or 3 stars, as that's the range this hotel deserves, but on my last day I got sick after breakfast, so I'm giving it a 1. The hotel is absolutely not a 4-star hotel. I was guided by the reviews before my flight, but they definitely misrepresent the reality. The hotel's pluses include the location, dinner, and service. It's clear they try, and even with their lack of English, communication is possible. Unfortunately, there's nothing more positive I can say about this hotel. The minuses are primarily the ubiquitous dirt and damage. The cleaning staff generally did a good job, but the hotel is so neglected that cleaning a single room would take hours. The common areas are also very worn and dirty. The spa area has broken showers and a cold pool, everything is terribly dirty. Furthermore, the reservation was for an hour, and it wasn't monitored at all. Not only was it difficult to communicate with the receptionist, but there were other people staying at the time I booked. The hotel has two jacuzzis; the one on the top floor wasn't working due to "poor weather," and the one on the sixth floor was horribly dirty, with practically nothing working. Furthermore, the elevators hadn't been properly inspected. There were also cockroaches, but I guess that's just a common occurrence in Fuerteventura—I don't know.
